Who says friends can’t fall in love?
The story of Jamie and Brendon is proof that sometimes, love finds you when you least expect it and often, right where you’ve been all along. For years, they shared the same social circle, effortlessly connected, always laughing, always looking out for each other. From tequila-fueled nights at Nicci Beach to Sunday braais and late-night chats, theirs was a bond built on years of friendship, a strong foundation of trust, understanding, and deep care.
They were always “just friends”… until they weren’t.

The story of Jamie and Brendon is proof that sometimes, love finds you when you least expect it and often, right where you’ve been all along. For years, they shared the same social circle, effortlessly connected, always laughing, always looking out for each other. From tequila-fueled nights at Nicci Beach to Sunday braais and late-night chats, theirs was a bond built on years of friendship, a strong foundation of trust, understanding, and deep care.
They were always “just friends”… until they weren’t.
In December 2021, something shifted. Both newly single, in the same city at the same time, curiosity began to creep in. Could there be more? It started with a few flirty messages, a bit of teasing over Instagram stories, and then, one tequila and one spontaneous New Year’s Eve kiss later, everything changed.
What was supposed to be just one night of fun turned into three and a half years of laughter, adventures, and growing love, a journey that would eventually lead to an unforgettable engagement under the magical Northern Lights.
Jamie and Brendon have a relationship like no other: a perfect blend of best friends and soulmates, the kind of love that feels easy, joyful, and real. Their days are filled with non-stop laughter, cozy nights with their two fur babies, and the kind of companionship that only comes from truly knowing each other inside and out.
Now, as they get ready to say “I do” in March 2026, they’re not just celebrating the past, they’re stepping into forever.
